Hey!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm Ellie, a full-time wedding photographer based in the coastal town of Portishead, near Bristol.
I love working with natural light to create beautiful, light-filled images for couples who would like to document their day in a relaxed way. My photography style is inspired by the natural surroundings of the coast and countryside of the beautiful South West where I travel for my work.
As well as photography I love the outdoors and I spend my weekends exploring the beautiful countryside and spending days on the beach. I'm hugely passionate about my work which has been published in some of the top UK wedding blogs and magazines, you can see the features along with some beautiful wedding inspiration here.

Here's a few things you might like to know about me
I love the beach and I can't ever imagine living too far from the coast. My favourite spots for a coastal weekend away are Salcombe and Fowey. If my out of office is on it's quite likely that I've sneaked in a little trip to one of these pretty seaside villages!
I grew up in North Somerset but before setting up home in Portishead with my husband Kier, we used to live in South Devon while studying at Plymouth University. Devon is like our second home and I have lots of links to this beautiful part of the Country.
I left my 9-5 in 2015 to turn my dream of running a creative business into a reality! Alongside capturing weddings, I also capture light + bright images for brands. You can visit my brand photography website here - Branding by Ellie Lou Photography
I'll take any opportunity I can to explore the outdoors - any time of year! From muddy Autumn bike rides in the Somerset countryside to winter beach walks or a stroll on Portishead Marina during the Summer. I'm lucky to be close to many beautiful spots and within a short distance of the Cotswolds and Devon.
I drink LOTS of earl grey tea to help me through the hours of editing and on the weekend (when I'm not capturing weddings of course!) I'll swap it for a glass of prosecco!
